  • The fleet accelerated from 19 vehicles in January 2026 to 100 by June 2026, demonstrating strong production momentum.
  • Full delivery of all 623 vehicles is expected by the early 2030s.

Industrial impact

  • Supply chain: More than 60 British companies involved.
  • 60% by value of the contract is planned to come from the UK.

Strategic importance

Boxer replaces the Army’s ageing Warrior and Mastiff fleets with a modern, adaptable platform that will form the backbone of the new Strike brigades, units designed to deploy rapidly over long distances across varied terrain. Its modular architecture enhances mobility, protection, and operational flexibility, and ensures the vehicle remains adaptable to evolving mission requirements well into the future.
