The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) released an advisory news item on Wednesday 27 August exposing ‘China-based technology companies for enabling global cyber campaign against critical networks’
The report states that they have ‘linked three technology companies based in China with a global malicious cyber campaign targeting critical networks’.
the NCSC is a part of GCHQ and along with twelve international partners have documented how these Chines companies have targeted nationally significant organisations around the world since 2021.
The targeted organisations have included government, telecomms, transportation links, property and military infrastructure globally, with a hotspot of emphasis observed in the UK. The aim is to harvest data that will facilitate the tracking of targets an their comms.
The identified malicious Chinese entities are:
- Sichuan Juxinhe Network Technology Co Ltd,
- Beijing Huanyu Tianqiong Information Technology Co,
- Sichuan Zhixin Ruijie Network Technology Co Ltd.
