Evolve Dynamics Unveils Next-Generation Miniature UAS Platforms Foxe and Wolfe

May 14, 2025 | Air

Evolve Dynamics has announced the launch of two new miniaturised uncrewed aerial platforms – Foxe and Wolfe – designed to enhance frontline intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities.

In the same week Europe marked the 80th anniversary of VE Day, British unmanned systems specialist Evolve Dynamics has announced the launch of two new miniature UAS platforms – Foxe and Wolfe – designed to enhance frontline intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities.

The systems were developed through a spiral process, informed by lessons drawn from battlefield deployment in Ukraine. Both platforms are intended to deliver increased resilience, rapid deployment and reliable performance in challenging environments.

The unveiling took place at a veteran-focused event hosted by Evolve Dynamics in Hampshire, where members of the Royal British Legion were given the opportunity to fly the new systems, tour the production facilities and mark the VE Day anniversary.

Foxe: Lightweight ISR at the Tactical Edge

Weighing under 250g, Foxe is a hand-launched, pouch-deployable UAS designed for fast ISR in dynamic conditions. It offers up to 35 minutes of endurance, rapid deployment in under 90 seconds and proven resilience in winds of up to 15.5 m/s (35 mph) and temperatures ranging from -20°C to +55°C.

With IP54 weatherproofing, electronic warfare (EW)-resilient communications, and a rugged, field-serviceable design, Foxe has been engineered for non-specialist users requiring immediate situational awareness in contested environments.

Wolfe: Endurance in the Harshest Conditions

At under 4kg, Wolfe is positioned as an ultra-rugged ISR system capable of extended missions. It offers 60 minutes of flight time, with hot-swappable batteries and optional tethered power for multi-day operation.

Rated to IP55, Wolfe is designed to withstand sustained winds of up to 20 m/s (45 mph), coastal weather and dusty conditions. Its low acoustic signature, dual-camera gimbal and modular, field-repairable design provide both discretion and durability for long-duration surveillance missions.

British Innovation, Operationally Proven

Both Foxe and Wolfe are designed and manufactured in the UK, incorporating technology refined through Evolve Dynamics’ existing systems already deployed in Ukraine.

Tom Redman, CEO of Evolve Dynamics, said:

“The launch of Foxe and Wolfe represents a significant milestone. Born from a deep understanding of frontline requirements and drawing upon battle-tested experience, these platforms embody our commitment to British innovation and rugged design. We are proud to offer capabilities that deliver enhanced situational awareness and operational advantage to modern forces.”
